The Institute is a 501(c)(6), non-profit corporation administered by a board of directors drawn from the leading child and family service organizations in Texas, representatives of certified child/youth care practitioners, educators, and community consumer groups.

As of July, 2003, the Institute Executive Committee is composed of the following members:
